Abortion is legal in California.
It will remain that way.
I just signed a bill that makes our state a safe haven for women across the nation.
We will not cooperate with any states that attempt to prosecute women or doctors for receiving or providing reproductive care.

If you are a young woman, do you now want to go to college in an anti-choice state?

(11,587 posts)1. J B Pritzger should do the same if he hasn't already
As a matter of fact all the states where it will remain legal should follow his lead.

That will have abortion access.
(Wisconsin will probably keep it for awhile.)
We should adopt some abortion centers near the state lines-- in Carbondale, Danville, suburban Chicago, Quincy, Moline, Belleville. Let's hope they can afford to provide transport-- as long as that's not criminalized too.

they are going to lose their young women as they fear to return to their homes and they will ask for asylum in the Blue States.
