Alito says he's returning the issue of abortion rights to the democratic process of the states but

that is completely disingenuous.

The Court, and particularly Alito, have attacked:

Voting rights, dismantling the VRA
Closed the Court off to remedying partisan gerrymandering

Yes, to claim that they are just returning the issue to the states' democratic process, and to claim that voters will make their will known is utterly disingenuous. They return the issue to a rigged system, a system where the voter's influence is severely diluted which makes impossible to enact their will.

The guts a precedent or statute that the country has relied on, creates a mess of what's left, and makes sure you have almost no remedy to the mess they created.
