I almost went to a demonstration tonight.

A friend called and told me about a demonstration at our city hall plaza. I was going to go, but then I thoght about all the other demonstrations I'd been to and I thought...what's the point? At least then there was hope that something would be done.
An authoritarian SCOTUS decision has made me lose my faith. I'm heartbroken.

Not helpful for you to be criticizing people when you have no idea their circumstances. We are to be supporting each other here.

I skipped school and walked downtown to take part. I've been in many, many demonstrations and marches in my life. I'm 70 years old. Please don't criticize what you don't understand.

I could have gone, but I'm trying to finish "Stranger Things." Season 4 is pretty good

Not have gone.

But there is one organized for tomorrow about 25 miles away from me that I am considering going to. It will cost a lot in gas, but I think it will be a good way for me to let off steam. It is in NY state and we are one of the safe states, but it’s good to keep the chants going.

I was thinking the same as you, but we have to remember that it is a matter of grinding away and making sure this issue is not allowed to rest. I rather wish there had been marches constantly since the leak. I think we let a good opportunity go. but, people have lives and they can’t spend all their time and gas on chasing around, I know.

Well, we will do what we need to do.
