We are beginning to enter the RW endgame
For 30 years the RW in this country has planned for and laid the groundwork for what we are seeing unfold today. For too long it was thought of as fringe and not taken seriously. They would listen to their talk radio and and watch Fox News but still they were a minority in power. Over the past 14 years in the post Sarah Palin GOP it didn’t matter as long as you were a militant Republican going to D.C to basically turn over the tables and fight the libruls. People in Congress and the Senate became less intelligent, less worried about governing or leading but rather fighting the Dems and mucking up the government.
Still for the most part Democrats still tried to govern by playing by the rules. Even while the SC seat of 2016 was being held up for a year the Democrats didn’t throw a royal fit like they should’ve. It was like “don’t do that” but never truly held them to account, mostly because I don’t think anyone thought Hillary would lose, so she’d rightfully make it right. Then Trump wins, the GOP does away with the filibuster and crams 2 justices through quickly, then a 3rd when it went directly against their own prior policy of 4 years prior. Still though I think many wanted to believe the justices as they testified that they believed prescedent was the law. However, living in conservative America I always thought this was the endgame. Get in power and if you get the Supreme Court you’ll see massively right wing policies coming out of red states…massively. The court will likely side with them as they were just put there for that. They are justices, they are right wing politicians in robes. So whatever you think they won’t do, there’s a good chance it will. Gay marriage? Up to the states. Federal regulations? Unconstitutional. Probably more that I’m forgetting, but we are now unfortunately living in the end game of 40 years of planning and scheming.
