He's the only one who gets to decide. Any mere human who does anything to interfere with a pregnancy is in the wrong, becsuse they are.... wait for it... PLAYING GOD!
As a person who does believe in the existence of a supreme being, or a cosmic intelligence, or something, of some sort, this seems patently ridiculous to ME. I can't even imagine how ludicrous it must seem to someone who is an avowed atheist. 😔

Personally, I think the fact that humans have brains is an indication that we should use them to make sensible, rational decisions. But some obviously disagree.
