If Chief Justice Roberts is upset with the partisanship of his court he should help to correct it, Resign Now.

For all intents and purposes, Justice Alito is now the head of the court.

Resign Roberts and President Biden can appoint a justice and can nominate the next Chief justice.

I'm guessing that Roberts isn't really that upset with the direction of his court.

He corrects people if they don’t address him as “Chief Justice.”

He isn’t going anywhere.

Any new Justice, that includes moving into the job of Chief Justice, must be nominated and confirmed by the Senate. Thomas would have to go through a new confirmation hearing. That’s not ever going to happen.

and now aligned Episcopalian.

While many catholics support choice, the Catholic church has been had a longstanding anti-abortion position.

I don't mean to be anti-Catholic, because I am not. People are entitled to believe what they believe, but that of course means everyone's beliefs can only be protected if all groups refrain from imposing their beliefs on others.

Consider where we have arrived. The Catholic church also long stood against contraception methods other than abstinence. And it seems somewhat less than random circumstance that Clarence Thomas suggested the Court should now revisit (as in overturn) cases concerning contraceptive rights, and same sex marriage. To what end Clarence? To align the population with catholic policy?

more than likely he’s not upset with the direction of the court but he is upset about his legacy…which is pretty much in the toilet…the Robert’s court, a political arm of the Republican Party, is Clarence Thomas and his wife, forever tied to the January 6 insurrection…the Robert’s court is the incompetent Brent Kavanaugh, his sexual assault and “I like beer” screaming tirade, and lying to Congress…the Robert’s Court is the unqualified Amy Coney Barrett and her ties to People of Praise, an ultra conservative handmaiden religious cult, and lying to Congress

And the Robert’s court is the vengeful Samuel Alito, an also-ran..nominated in the wake of Rehnquist’s untimely death, not because he was qualified but to fill the slot vacated by John Robert’s who was nominated, first to replace Sandra Day O’Conner and then Chief Justice Rehnquist

Whether Robert’s resigns or holds on like Clarence Thomas, the Robert’s court will forever be the court that overturned Roe v Wade…and John Robert’s legacy…
