That map is a bit daunting.

Come on WI, MI, PA, VA and NC, I KNOW the folks in these States could take a lesson from Montana.

In fact, The Right To Privacy should be enshrined in the US Constitution as an Amendment; we ALL could take a lesson from Montana.

1. THisis the fight:

The Right to privacy in your personal, intimate affairs.

The government has no business in matters of the heart or the (consensual) dangly bits.

2. Framing it as 'The Right To Privacy' detours around the emotional hot button that abortion is.

Dems will be smart to tackle it in this context as well as a Woman's Right To Choose.

3. Thug Gianforte is already trying to eliminate it

Misogynist thug is already at work to erase that right;

I also think that the repugs effort to rewrite the MT Consititution is another way to block women from their rights.

4. I just signed the ballot proposal petition in MI.

If it makes it on the ballot and wins, Roe goes into the MI state constitution.

5. Yeah but we have too many Senators.

And everyone pointing out this facet of our constitution don't understand the myriad ways the legislature, governor and AG are trying to undo this nice little law we've got there. Our constitution is young, from the 1972 constitutional convention.

In fact, they are at this very moment, contemplating calling a special session to find a work around so they can outright ban abortions in the state. Another rewrite of the state constitution is one of the items on the menu.

We get dinged for all the good things we do and praised for the shit that needs fixing.
