2. It's really kinda simple

Lots of people claim abortion is the most monstrous evil perpetuated by human beings. OK, for the sake of argument, lets say that’s true.

Then shouldn’t we be willing to do whatever it takes to end it? Shouldn’t we be willing to remake our whole society and economy around putting the needs of children and families ahead of all other priorities, if that’s what it takes?

If you aren’t willing to go that far then you don’t really think abortion is an abomination against God. If your best idea is to just declare abortion to be illegal, you aren’t serious about ending it.

No serious person can honestly believe cops, courts and prisons would get the job done. Want evidence? Type “war on drugs” into your Google machine. Then read.

If abortion is a problem to be solved, the solution involves applying a thick layer of compassion over our country — like peanut butter on a Ritz cracker, or mayo on Oscar Mayer bologna on white bread. But, if you suggest even smallest moves in that direction, somebody is going to call you a communist.
