The unjust man

My daughter wrote this in a discussion this evening and this is much of what I feel about the situation the United States of America is in.
Where has compromise got us? Meet me in the middle, says the unjust man, who takes a step back and ask you the same thing again. Just meet him in the middle. Now look at us. We are suffering and will keep suffering if we don’t stand up and do something. We lost our bodily autonomy because a bunch of fuckwits think they know what’s best. I say it’s time to be extreme. It’s been time, like years ago time. If you classify my values as extreme…I just want a good society for the good of all people. It shouldn’t be considered radical but here we are cause everyone keeps shaking hands with the unjust man.
I have been on DU since the launch of the site and I do not post very often,but I like this.

3. Give Peace a Chance

Popular wisdom is usually wrong. Responding to an opponent with the same weapon is just defense—it doesn’t advance enlightenment nor peace.

Your daughter should be commended for her passion, that’s what will repair America. But I was a passionate, but loose cannon, and learned youth energy needs to be tempered with senior sobriety. So all you can do is try to show her the correct direction to aim her energies, it’s called character and values.
