Here's how we win in November and beyond.

If you want to be a true, patriotic Republican American, you have to proclaim your loyalty to, and love for, a fertilized egg and an AR 15. How did we get here? How did we let a minority combination of ignorant, arrogant, greedy, bible-beating, racist, deranged people fuck the rest of us up so badly? Well, we played by the rules and they don't. Nonetheless, how in the world did they take us off the edge of a cliff?

Here's how they did it. Too many people don't vote. Especially, people who would vote for Democrats if they took the time to do it.

The Republican Party declared war on America about 40 or 50 years ago. Some are racists, some want a country in which greed is rewarded, and some are relics from the past who ended up living in a century they couldn't deal with. But they know the power of fear and they use that fear to get their voters to turn out.

And what about we Democrats? We believe in fairness, justice, the goodness of the human spirit, and so much more. But so fucking what? Let me make a suggestion. How about we use fear to get every existing, or would-be Democrat out to vote this November. We don't even have to make shit up. All we have to do is tell them the truth of the world in which they'll be living under Republican rule.

So how do we get the message out there? I know this is a foreign concept to us, but we all have to be singing from the same hymn book. Everyone, from the president, to the Dems in congress, to Dems at the local level, to you and me. We all must, MUST, let America know the consequences that will befall us if the Republican Party controls all the levers of power. Republicans must be revealed as, viewed as, and treated as the dangerous domestic enemies they are. And all must be made to see this.

How do we beat them? Get every breathing Democrat to the polls, even if we have to drag or carry them there. And don't let up. Do it this election and in all elections to come. The fascists aren't going away. Time we ground them into the dust in each and every election.

Voting is only a part of the problem. The Putin GOP is rigging the voting system as we speak.

80 million eligible voters didn't vote in the last presidential election.

If we can find just 20 or 30 million of them who would vote for Democrats, the GOP will cease to exist.

Yeah, that's a big order. But consider the alternative.

Hillary Clinton, for example. She was right on pretty much everything.

I'm not sure that becoming fear-mongers is the answer. I think many have tried since 2015, and I'm not sure how much traction has been made - it doesn't really seem like much at all. Two impeachments didn't make much of a dent. The 1/6 hearings may, though the jury is still out there.

Biden won, in part, because he made the election about what we/he could accomplish vs. just being the anti-Trump/anti-GOP.

The most realistic solution to the mess the country is in seems to be electing more Democrats, at all levels of government. That's the only part of the GOP/Trump agenda that we should probably be emulating.

I think Biden won because most people realized what a monster Trump was/is.

If one looks at his approval ratings, they were remarkably stable. I'm not sure he lost any support at all during his term. He got 11 million more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016.

2016: 62,984,828
2020: 74,216,154

We just did a good job of getting out the vote. I still think that's key.

the GOP wants to get rid of...fairness is nebulous. Run-on concrete issues...some local issues would be good too...but Roe and Jan 6 are the biggies...more Roe I expect.

9. The problem is how to get non-voters to vote.

So how do you reach people who don't use social media or do use social media but ignore politics all together?

How do you get the following to change their mind?
Those who don't care, are not interested or too busy to bother
Those who don't understand the differences between parties
Those who believe the myth that if they don't vote they won't be called for jury duty
Those who believe that their vote doesn't matter
Those who come out to vote only on single issues that matter to them

Every election cycle volunteers get out to encourage voters to vote and sign up new ones but there are so many that still never vote.

Who got people to move out of caves and build dwellings?

How did people learn to grow food rather than just kill animals?

How did people grasp the concept that the strongest were not entitled to lead?

Who came up with "the majority rules" idea? (Even though it's never been practiced in America.)

Some came up with the ideas of knocking on doors to get people to vote.

But right now, we damn well better figure out how to get non-voters to vote, or the American "Experiment in democracy" is over.
