The TikTok user @savagekate8 had some wise words to say about abortion. I'm paraphrasing here but she said (roughly) that most of the people against abortion are saying don't have sex if you don't want to get pregnant. However, those same people believe in a religion where their savior was born to a woman who did not have sex and still became pregnant.
Consider this to be example #93487543528 of right wingers being completely inconsistent in their words and beliefs.

(10,148 posts)Maybe they are too generally old to worry about it themselves. What about their daughters. What about couples who are old enough to think they wont get pregnant, but it happens sometimes. What about when the 45 yr old wife gets pregnant but they dont want kids? What about when their daughter or grand daughter gets raped? I think plenty of the people who support the ban will suddenly demand special dispositions.

(22,025 posts)One of my favorite Bible examples occurs on the first two pages of Genesis. The first chapter tells the familiar creation story that took god six days to complete. There is a specific order of which things god created and when.
Turn the page and Chapter 2 will tell you a similar but wildly different creation story with events occurring in a completely different order.
So which is the inerrant word of god?
The Jesus story is equally flawed. According to the Gospels, Joseph and Mary had to travel to their hometown of Bethlehem to be counted in a Roman census. The only problem is that there wasnt a census in that part of the Roman Empire anytime around the time of Jesus. The reason we know this is because the Romans like the Nazis kept meticulous records. There wasnt a census.
Oh, and Herod wasnt king at the time the Bible tells us Jesus was born.
LonePirate, its not just right wingers. These Christian literalists are equally messed up.
