How did Roe fall? On the energy that led to Van Jones' "white lash"

The New York Times' Kate Zernicke writes that it was the Tea Party, a movement spurred by the barely sublimated American racism that erupted before President Obama was even three full months into his first term, that created the disruption of the 2010 midterms. The seismic waves began then.

That's how in the hell we ended up with Conman Donald in the friggin White House. A lot of Americans were getting even for eight years of a BLACK man in the WHITE house. Yes folks, it is that simple!

In hindsight, probably shouldn’t have. Way too much for their pea brains to handle.

as if their deranged and illogical views were ‘valid’ instead of being just extreme as the John Birch Society.

President Obama was speaking. This happened in Arizona, if I remember correctly, in 2009.

When I saw this I knew America was going to be very different soon.

"Jane Mayer writes in Dark Money, "On closer inspection, as the Harvard political scientist Theda Skocpol and the Ph.D. student Vanessa Williams observed in their 2012 book, The Tea Party and the Remaking of Republican Conservatism, the Tea Party movement was a "mass rebellion... funded by corporate billionaires, like the Koch brothers, led by over-the-hill former GOP kingpins like Dick Armey, and ceaselessly promoted by millionaire media celebrities like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.""[2]

While promoted as a spontaneous "grassroots" movement, many of the activities of Tea Party groups were organized by corporate lobbying groups like Freedomworks and Americans for Prosperity"

When it realized that it couldn't win in 2009. Then in 2012 when they couldn't win again, the Tea Party morphed into the MAGA movement and Donald Trump became the face of that party.
