(52,196 posts)they project on it what they want it to say, then they cite whatever passages are there or are missing to justify their personal bigotries.
and of course, they then claim that anyone who disagrees is a unamerican heretic and just plain wrong.
there is zero chance that the founders actually wanted the government to think of a microscopic clump of cells inside a woman's uterus as the business of government and law enforcement.
the whole concept of "unreasonable search" goes out the window if the government can regulate what herbs grow in your house and consume in your house, lest they be dangerous to a fetus that has a 33% chance of dying anyway even if you try to keep it.
the whole concept of the 13th amendment goes out the window if any unwanted pregnancy (whether you consented originally or not) makes you a slave for the remainder of the 40 weeks.
never mind that the whole concept of "stand your ground" becomes ludicrous, when you can kill an actual human being merely if you feel momentarily threatened, but not if that "human being" is inside your uterus stealing your food and doing all kinds of things to your body. anyone *outside* the uterus doing those things, the same right-wingers would say, sure, you have every right to kill them. but *inside* the uterus, no.
