Dems shoulda, Dems coulda, Dems Oughta...EFF that noise

Last edited Mon Jun 27, 2022, 08:53 PM - Edit history (1)

I am classifying all posts that attempt to blame Democrats for this Supreme Court shitshow as "Pro-Putin Propaganda". Just stop it!

This is not President Obama's fault. It's not Hillary's fault. It's not President Biden's It's not Merick Garlands fault.

Nor is it the fault of Joe Manchin, or Kristine Sinema, or AOC, or Katie Porter, or Nancy Pelosi, or James Clyburn, or Chuck Schumer, or RGB

It's not that Dems failed to wave some magic wand, or miracle our asses to freedom.

It's not that Dems weren't fighting.

It's not that Dems weren't warning.

Hundreds of time over the past decades, Dems were fucking screaming; "THERE'S A FUCKING ICEBERG DEAD AHEAD!!"

This shit sandwich was brought to us by the Retrumplican Party!

Worse! It was brought to us by our very own friends, family members and neighbors who threw their support behind a fucking evil circus clown.

Blaming Democrats for this is like giving Superman a kryptonite neckless, and then bitching that he didn't stop the speeding freight train.

It's exactly like saying; "Democrats deserved this, or caused this because of what they were wearing".

Ffs, it was the people on the ground screaming and our leaders telling us to keep our powder dry.

You know what? They were fucking WRONG. Not only have we lost ground to the “conservatives” on policy, they threaten election officials with DEATH if they dare observe the law, chasing them away and replacing them with stooges. To the point where nobody who’s being honest knows how 2024 will play out.

I’m not going to waste my time going back-and-forth on this. I’m full-on supporting ANY Dem who sees things as they are. I’ll vote for the rest but that’s all they’ll get from me. The Republican Party is the ENEMY. Hoping they’ll come around is the political equivalent of thinking Putin will be happy with the People’s Republic of Luhansk.

Hillary Clinton "repeatedly" and "forcefully" told us what was at stake. Had enough people listened to her, this Supreme Court would be nothing but Jefferson Davis' wetdream.

Our leaders were not telling us to "keep our powder dry". Our leaders were screaming from the rooftops.

There were, however, a shit ton of "democrats" who worked their asses off to convince people that both parties are the same

Obama never had 60 votes until...late June of 2009...when Al Franken was seated and when Lynch the appointee from Massachusetts was sworn in. Remember Kennedy had a seizure and never came back to the Senate.

would have been hands-down better than Scott Brown. And we would have gotten a public option too. Always vote Democratic people...and quit with the falling in love BS and the need to attract your vote. The stakes are too high. And please God, vote in the f'ing midterms! She did not retire because she wanted Hillary appoint her successor. Like most of the rest of us, she did not anticipate the rat-fucking Hillary got. And, even if she did retire, there was no guaranteed Moscow Mitch was going to let through Obama's pick to replace her.

should have safeguarded the seat by retiring in Obama's first term before the midterm...it is a damn shame. And can I say the meme about how it wouldn't have mattered if Hillary was elected is total crap....it would have mattered. And that is just a BS excuse some have adopted to assuage their guilt for not supporting her. It isn't true and it doesn't absolve such people.

And sorry no rationalization can ever change the fact that if Hillary Clinton had won Roe would be safe, a million people would not have died from Covid, immigrant babies would not have been put in cages like animals and there would have been no insurrection. Those and I am not saying you (I am sure you did vote for her) that didn't vote for her are despicable and there is no arguing with that.

to a large extent. Prior to current political climate and criteria, it wasn't a necessary consideration. Or at least no where near what it is today. We did after all once have a court that included people like Kennedy and O'Connor. And justices did not have to consider that their (singular) retirement - would be a critical turning point for a country of 250 years. Is it fair (in anything other than retrospect) to blame Ginsberg for not foreseeing all of that?

I'm with the OP - let's place the blame where it belongs - with Cheetolini, Mitch McConnell and the Federalist Society.
