EASTMAN BOMBSHELL - the warrant was from the OIG

That crackpot Eastman has filed a motion to get his phone back:

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/22071050-john-eastman-court-filing

Within that filing it notes that the phone was seized pursuant to a warrant obtained by the DoJ Office of Inspector General.

The OIG doesn’t investigate crimes in general. The OIG investigates irregularities in the workings of the DoJ itself.

https://oig.justice.gov/

In other words the DoJ OIG is investigating the activities of persons WITHIN the DoJ (past and/or present)

Even more info:

Or did he refuse.

He was subpoenaed:

https://january6th.house.gov/news/press-releases/select-committee-subpoenas-former-officials-close-ties-former-president

Kenneth Klukowski, former Senior Counsel to Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark, was involved in drafting a letter that urged legislatures in certain states to delay certification of the election, according to the report recently released by the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. The report also states that Mr. Clark contacted Mr. Klukowski to prepare for an Oval Office meeting with the former President that took place on January 3rd, 2021

how he got dropped into the DOJ to work for Clark. He and Eastman are cohorts so must have found something or maybe Klukowski has turned.

I was thinking more about it, what if it is the IG for DOJ who was doing the investigation. It was their office that raided Clark and took Eastman's phone. I need to just wait, I guess, driving myself crazy.

There are imbeds inside, HRC haters, and Trump lovers. I hope Garland can get the job done. You just know Rudy has links inside there as well as in NYC AG office. There are a few Executive Departments that need a good house-cleaning too.

Did someone squeal on Putin funding the insurrection? Now, that would need tight security.

Considering that the investigation of Jeffrey Clark is being conducted by the IG's office in charge of investigating the internal affairs of DOJ, your mention of Bill Barr (I believe he had something to do with certain alleged irregularities within DOJ at one point) is intriguing.

Even I can't resist salivating over the possibilities! You get my vote for the boldest and most creative speculation of the day!

So- was Eastman billing the US Government for his services? If so, that would entitle the OIG to review his billing records, and what he claimed taxpayer money to pay. That is one remote possibility-
