There should be a vote on a national law allowing abortion in the case of rape or incest or mother's life in danger today. Right fucking now. Force Republicans to say it.

The point here is to get Republicans on record supporting the most vicious anti-choice position. It's not an attempt to piecemeal pro-choice laws. I'm trying to get Republicans to lose elections.

They are convinced "their" representatives and senators aren't crazy and cruel. It's those other loonies.

you either support a party that is racist, misogynist, homophobic, xenopbobic, anti-worker, anti-science - anti-taking action on climate change - or you don't

I've stopped trying to convert her but she's really pissed by the latest developments. I've used her as proof to a Trump voting relative who was arguing about vote irregularities by telling him she's living proof that a lot of Republicans deliberately voted for Biden. She voted for Biden because she realized Trump was not a good president. Then she went ans voted all Republicans for local offices. It's frustrating but you can lead the horse to water, etc.

It pretends that all other pregnancies should be forced to continue, even if the mother's life is at risk or if the unborn child has some kind of terrible condition that will condemn it do die in enormous pain after being born, or other things that I can't think of right now. It also totally dismisses women who are in no way able to give birth and raise that child for lots of other reasons, including that the father of her unborn child has already left her.

If we are going to outlaw abortion, then every single male in the country needs to have his DNA on file, and when appropriate, needs to be matched to the baby being born so that he can be held accountable and be obligated to pay child support for 18 years. And no, he does not get to participate in any way in that child's life.

they’ll run right over those at-least-temporary exceptions faster than you can say “Bye-bye Roe.”

There are factions pushing for their ultimate wet dream - totally outlawing ALL abortion, rape and incest exceptions be damned. And who cares whether the life or the health of the mother matters? It was her fault anyway, ‘eh?
