Tucker should maybe also tell his audience that if they’ve committed crimes then deleting evidence from their phones is…also a crime. He could interview a few Oath Keepers and Proud Boys from January 6 about that next

9. Fyi - deleting something on a computer doesn't delete it instantly.

If you delete something, you’re just telling the hard drive that the space that thing took up can now be written over.

Therefore, some messages can still be recoverable after some time. If you’re trying to cover your tracks, you would need to write over the message with all 0s.

If it really matters, and use the example of a whistleblower or journalist in a hostile country, then full blown paranoid measures are needed, like running your computer from a TAILS (https://tails.boum.org) flash drive (nobody uses CD or DVD any more) Use Signal for messaging.

And to Tucker, regular email etc are not only saved (possibly archived before you erase then) on servers, but BY THE RECIPIENTS, one of which could be a spy.
