Couldn't a Dr. perform abortion for rape/incest victim citing mental health dangers ?

Due to the TRAUMA, anxiety, and depression caused by the crime upon their person.
TRAUMA is present and an effect in these crimes, and Trauma contributes to depression and anxiety, as well as other mental and personality disorders.

If they are going to pass these draconian laws then we are going to get a flood of traumatized women. Texas has the most rapes per year in the country, more than even California with its largest population.

What if a rape victim is threatening suicide if they can't get an abortion? I can see that happening.

Another thing alluded to on MSNBC tonight was the states that run with these extreme and radical anti-abortion laws and criminalize them may run the risk of a shortage of OB-GYNs. Easier to go into family practice. On that note, what are medical students thinking about these days of going into OBGYN? Why would they when a reichwing prosecutor could put them in jail for ten years or more?

It could lead to a shortage of OBGYN care across the country, definitely so in the states with the worst and most punitive laws. And even in a state with reasonable laws for protection of the health of a mother, if Republican reactionaries ever seize power the laws could change and despite all good intentions the OBGYN finds himself in jail/court.

In any case, I repeat RAPE AND INCEST ARE LIFELONG PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMAS. ARE WE GOING TO MAKE THAT WORSE BY forcing a victim of those crimes to bear a child they never planned?

comes into play, and why women will die if they do not have access to all of the things that go into women's mental health, because unlike Rick Santorum I don't think impregnation by rape is God's gift to all women. I know if I was raped, I would not have a child born from rape. But then again, the rapist is beginning to have as much or more has rights than the victim he raped:

Dirtbag Paxton should have BEEN in jail. Damn crook.

You know darn well that these GQP'ers only care about the fetus--the body. The mother is only needed to be a host for the pod--the precious fetus. Then once a woman and a little girl also carry that forced pregnancy 9 months and actually gives birth, it's the hell with her and that baby over there who I don't give a damn about once it drops and becomes a viable human being or if the child needs help.

I keep hearing Female and Male GQP US Taliban members saying that we will be looking into opening more orphanages to make sure that all innocent life is protected and cared for. Uh, somebody better tell the Taliban that there are currently 400,000 babies waiting to be adopted.

How many children are waiting to be adopted in the United States?

Of the over 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S., 114,556 cannot be returned to their families and are waiting to be adopted.

Start with them first. Secondly, what about children of color, specifically black children, then there are young pre-teen trans kids out there. Are Christians going to adopt pre-teens and teens kids who identify as gay, trans, non-binary et al?

While 35 percent of children adopted through foster care are Black, only 27 percent of children adopted through foster care live in Black households. It is time to create a village of positive adoption storytellers.

What race is put up for adoption the most?

Race/Ethnic Origin

White: 49%
Black/African American: 16%
American Indian/Alaska Native: 2%
Asian/Pacific Islander: 10%
Hispanic/Latino: 19%
Other: 4%

Good Lord, we haven't dealt with these issues down here yet, that are exploding 👇🏻👇🏻

If you can't say you're gay in Florida, how do you adopt

The hideous, heartbreaking and diabolical possibilities on how the GQP kills women and tears this country apart is endless. These next 10-15 years of life in what the GQP wants to be AmeriKKKa will be something that can't even be described unless the GQP US Taliban is kept from wielding complete power over this country. Might not sound like it, but I remain hopeful that the GQP has gone too far this time ..

Let me go to bed now, so I can see vote-hopping Meadow's ex aid Ms. Hutchinson HOPEFULLY drop several quarters on Meadows and fatso45 in the morning

I’m 74. I was raised to believe abortion was bad, and had to learn otherwise in adulthood.

But even in the bad old days, there were exceptions. The exceptions were: rape, incest, and the life and health of the mother.

The laws that are being put in place now are like nothing we’ve ever seen before. In many of them there are no exceptions.

If you were a doctor, would you want to bet your medical license and 10 years in prison on trying to skirt that?

I hear the argument “but of course there’s exceptions for the woman’s life”. But what doctor is going to risk jail time and their livelihood in case her life wasn’t in “enough” danger? Women, I mean livestock, will die. Like they GAF.
