"Collegiality" on SCOTUS

They supposedly like one another. I don't like anybody who would take my rights away or the rights of people I care about. I wouldn't be intentionally rude to such a person but I damn sure wouldn't be collegial. SCOTUS isn't an ordinary work place where you can avoid discussing certain topics. They're not making widgets. They're making laws and determining what rights we can enjoy.

It’s like any work team—you won’t like everyone but you have to be professional. And if anyone (say, the media) were to ask you about this, you would say “we are collegial” and tell the full truth only to your SO.

and some of the opinions being published in dissent, I don't think there's a hell of a lot of "collegiality" on this court.

movie nights for all the justices to meet together outside of court. Sotomayor just last week lavished praise on Thomas, calling him a friend. They're plenty comfortable right where they are.

I am glad she will have Sotomayor and Kagan. If not it would be awfully lonely.

And how could one have any respect for people who would write such an egregious opinion as Dodds?

I ain’t buying they like each other.
