I don't care about 'changing anyone's mind' anymore. I already know it can't be done with people who are embedded in their own ignorance and egos. They're already too intellectually lazy to take a long walk through the Congressional Record and figure it out for themselves. There's literally nothing you can tell these blindly self-satisfied and smug know-nothings that will get them to realize what is at stake.
No, the OP is just a message. It's not to 'influence' anyone. But frankly, it stands more of a chance than 'appealing to intellect' because impinging on ego is simply more effective at creating a visceral response.
Not going to hold my breath for your 'solution', because you'd just be suggesting we make wheels out of stone.
