(42,770 posts)being interviewed on CNN. I have to call bullshit on this and I love the guy. They asked him if committee got corroboration for the incident in the limo that Cassidy described today. He said he didn't know. Right. I wonder what would have been wrong with telling the truth. That the secret service is probably sworn to secrecy but they wouldn't deny? But I think it's an insult to our intelligence to make us believe he doesn't know

For one thing, it shows that all the false-flag B.S. was exactly that--B.S.
Overall, though, here's the big stuff for me:
Meadows was in contact with the Willard Hotel "war room" the night before (dialing into them on 1/5 after being advised to NOT go there)... and he had told his aide that "a lot of stuff" had been PLANNED--stuff that wasn't going to be good.
And that Rudolph, after just meeting with Meadows, had also relayed that things were going to happen (implying that things had been PLANNED).
That's conspiracy.
And that both of these guys had requested pardons.
I posted yesterday that this particular information points to conspiracy and that there's only one more rung on the ladder to go. (My post got no traction, but that might be because I was doing a "Captain Obvious" impersonation.)

The more these hearings go on, the more I realize just how close we came. And I thought the movies "Seven Days in May" and "The Manchurian candidate" were far-fetched. Thank God the military held firm even though it's still sketchy why it took so long for the National Guard to show up.

(42,770 posts)To go down there. First thing that came to my mind was that it actually helped him, because why would you want to go down there if he knew there was danger? Then I thought well maybe his plan was to go down there and stop the crowd in which he would have looked like an angel.
I definitely points back to his deep need to be idolized. And what you are suggesting makes sense too.
By the way, how did he know that the crowd wouldn't hurt him.

(7,925 posts)It would have been his big Al Capone moment.
He knew in advance they would be armed. It had been planned that way for weeks by whoever was steering it inside the White House and the War room. The Proud Boys and Oath Keepers made their plans at least a month or more prior to the 6th. I have no doubt whatever that whoever the conduit was between Trump and armed militia knew in advance and told Trump about it.
