As a form of sedition, it has been described as a serious but lesser counterpart to treason, targeting activities that undermine the state without directly attacking it.
The penalty could include death or imprisonment for a minimum of five years. Penalties also include a minimum $10,000 fine and a lifetime bar on holding any office under the United States. § 2382 Misprision of treason.
Mark Meadows finds himself in very legal hot water. Anyone else close to TDFG finds themselves now in the sights the DoJ. The J6 hearings are providing the DoJ with the grounds to charge Meadows, Flynn, Giuliani, and others with the same.
