funny how the media never compares democrats against republicans

democrats are always judged by some mythical standard of perfection. biden is constantly slammed because the economy is not perfect, even though we've had the biggest growth we've had in what, 40 years? can't dwell on that, because there's inflation (an inevitable consequence of rapid growth anyway, in this case combined with some temporary factors such as the return to normal "after" covid).

democrats must be 100% honest 100% of the time. gore got beat up over a quote boasting about his legitimate contributions to the internet. even then, the media constantly misquoted him (gore didn't say he "invented" the internet).

but democrats don't run against perfection, they run against republicans. an election is a choice between two candidates (yeah, ok, sometimes there are other choices, but then again, not really).

donnie is quite possibly the most prolific liar in all of recorded history. he can effortlessly cram 3 or 4 lies into a single sentence, and he lied multiple times a day throughout his campaigns and his time in office.

he had scandal after scandal. but the media gave far more coverage to the ridiculous faux scandals of benghazi and emails, endlessly and breathlessly going into detail after detail, dragging it out forever. meanwhile, donnie's scandals were, for the most part, quickly covered and forgotten.

why? excuses about. hey, he still polls over 30%, so who cares? yet if a democrat polls under 50% the media gets ready to declare that democrat toast.

gosh, we can't cover that scandal because there are new scandals to cover! seriously?? can you imagine the media covering a democrat this way?? if a democrat replaced one scandal with another with another, there's absolutely no way the media would do anything other than make them a laughingstock and call for their immediate resignation or impeachment or recall. they would make it impossible for that democrat to say anything. every press conference would only include shouted questions about the scandals and "when are you going to resign?"

but with donnie, gosh, we just can't keep up so i guess we have to *bury* old scandals and no talk about them anymore and not act as if this is ever getting ridiculous.

if the media ever focused on comparing democrats and republicans side by side, we would crush it in elections.

but the media would rather drool at an empty donnie podium than cover a live hillary speech.

and that makes the bias of the media crystal clear.

republicans are fascists criminals who don't care about americans or america or ethics or values, only about power and money for themselves and their billionaire sponsors.

democrats believe in democracy and freedom and coming together as a nation to lift all of us and the country as a whole.

but the media prefers to tell us about inflation and how it's somehow all biden's fault.

and they never describe the republican's sabotage strategy as "sabotage", which is exactly what it is. voting "no" on everything, negotiating in bad faith and delaying or denying any democratic initiative.

the republican talking point is that the president should take the blame if the economy sucks or if legislation doesn't pass, and then they sabotage the process. the media *never* calls them out on sabotaging the process and the country. instead the media paints it as if we need to give the republicans more power because "democrats can't get things done", even when republicans are flat out saying they're going to block passage of all democratic solutions.

it's long pass time we started insisting on better coverage in the media.

at a minimum, we need to make sure everyone knows the the media has a strong right-wing bias.

whatever "liberal bias" the media may have had back in the 1960s disappeared long ago, probably right around the time "nightline" first aired in 1980.
