(146,308 posts)I cooked a goose one Christmas. Another couple was joining us for dinner. First and only time for me to roast a goose.
It was a big hit with our guests. We swapped dinners with them pretty often, and always tried to outdo each other. The roasted goose was a good choice.
However, once all the fat on a goose melts off during cooking, it's surprising how little substance is left. Good think I made lots of side dishes.

(25,471 posts)I've been reluctant to jump on the "Trump is done" bandwagon at any time during the past six-plus years, but I'm not sure how he survives this. At the very, very least, I think there's no chance he wins in 2024, which Cheney has been pretty open about being a primary goal.
I do not envy the DOJ.

(11,631 posts)As much as I love to see Trump destroyed, I also fear each of these hearings is another great day for Ron Desantis.

(81 posts)How many people are actually watching the hearings? How many people are devout Trumphites? How much of the Hispanic community and African American Community are now leaning that way?
At this point, I will say TFG's goose is cooked when there are indictments and sentencing. Until then, its just noise. I believe there are enough mouth breathers for him to win an election, regardless of evidence, especially if we can't straighten out the economy by 2024.

(82,849 posts)Don't leave it to chance. Talk about it all the time with friends and relatives, especially the ones who have the luxury and the privilege not to pay attention to "all that political stuff." Don't let anyone in your circle be able to say, "Gee, I never heard about any of this during the campaign."
The media won't do our job for us. The Democratic leadership won't do our job for us. Even if you've recited the gory details about the former guy's horrible administration a hundred times, go over it a hundred and one times so that the people in the back hear about it.
