A perspective
In 1984, I was a 26-year old 2LT in charge of a platoon of M60A3s that had a full combat load - because this was West Germany - and me and my team of hard-charging tankers were prepared to defend our country.
26 sounds young, but I have a kinship with Ms. Hutchinson because I know what a well-trained young adult is capable of.
