I Bet This Engel Guy Already Perjured Himself

He testified before the committee, and probably omitted the story that was told today. Probably told a Completely different story about what took place in the vehicle that day.

Now he is in a spot where he has to admit that he committed perjury, or simply continue to say it did not happen, and act like he doesn't know what Ms. Hutchinson is talking about.

1. If she wasn't in the car he wins, if she was in car it is he said she said.

If the person who is supposed to have related this to her wasn't in the car, they both lose.

Unless a couple of people in the car back up the story of the Pig losing it, this is going to go south and hurt Hutchinson's credibility.

This is how the Pig keeps dodging criminal exposure when people repeat what ends up being fanciful stories that make him look like he is being unfairly attacked.

2. Credibility

The only way this damages Hutchinson's credibility in a sane world is if Tony Ornato comes in and says, "I didn't say that to her."

That may happen.

But Engel testifying that there was no wheel-grabbing or neck threats says nothing at all about what Tony Ornato said.

Hutchinson didn't say it happened, didn't say she saw it happen. She recounted what she was told.

I realize in the modern sound-bite, barroom argumentation world, this level of analysis doesn't really matter. It's still true.

5. I just heard what she said on MSNBC and you are right, she didn't say she saw it

she just said what Ornato told..and he told her the Pig was in the Beast limo when the video from the morning is pointing at the Pig using SUVs. Who knows what the hell that is about.

But yes what I am really getting at is that any discrepancy is going to be used as a dodge and attack her credibility both with the cultists on social media and the christofascists in Congress.

Things may shake out differently if they, Ornato or Engel, testify or testified under oath as well. Everyone seems to be tight lipped about that.

Just to say it in a nutshell, that particular piece of the Pig's behavior is going need some further corroboration.

6. Did Engle deny he heard Tony tell the story to Cassidy?

I believe Cassidy testified that Bobby was present when Tony told Cassidy the story

7. I don't think she said he denied it at the time, but yes he was in the room.

That would be an opening to go at Engle with if he is now clamming up and protecting the Pig.

I doubt they would release something so potent without verification.

Meanwhile, the Trump insurrection is desperate to discredit any way they can.

Maybe Ornata is a liar or he exaggerated. I'm not thinking Cheney goes into this without other information besides Hutchinson saying she was told this.
