Ketchup smeared on the walls of the White House.
Broken dishes. Smashed China.
Trying to grab a steering wheel. Grabbing a steering wheel, and then assuming you can just maintain control of a vehicle until it arrives at the Capitol?
Beating the shit out your ex-wife, raping her, and pulling her hair out because you didn't like the surgery that was done on your scalp?
Mocking a reporter with a physical disability while on national television? That act has been talked about so many times, that the impact of it has worn off. but think about that for a moment. Think about exactly how heinous that is. Think about all that entails. That one act alone should have been enough for anyone who voted for him to turn their back on him.
I learned in the third grade to never stare at the sun due to likely retinal damage. But the man who has the nuclear football stared into the sun during an eclipse. Good decision making skills right there.
Melania is not attractive. She's not a good person. She's not even a person.
Eric fucking Trump.
Those tubes that dogs run through when doing agility competitions? Don Jr. uses one of those to snort his coke with before making his videos.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Throw a fucking piece of burlap over him, and it would fit better than his suits do.
Toilets, dishwashers.
Wanna ruin your week? Picture what he looks like when having sex. You picturing it? You think you look stupid when you have sex? You're fine.
Ivanka Trump.
I can't eat cottage cheese and see a picture of tfg at the same time. Not sure why.
McDonald's wrappers.
A spread of 6,000 cold Big Macs laid out for sports teams that visit him.
"Rallies".
Trying to estimate how many years he has taken off your life.
The way he "dances".
Mar-A-Goo-Goo.
Putin.
Covid response.
Shine a light up your ass and drink some bleach.
Quid Pro Go Pro.
Never once saw a "genuine" laugh from him. He is incapable of humor.
Red ties that you could rope a calf with at a rodeo.
I could go on, but perhaps the biggest thing is he's been out of office for what, a year and a half? And I'm still talking about him. So are you. So is everyone else.
And we get a kind, courageous man in for POTUS after him, who has already done more for this country than tfg could have done in a lifetime, and all anyone talks about is gas prices.
tfg probably heard about Nixon getting shitfaced and talking to portraits in his final days. tfg then got angry and said "fuck him, watch this".
If he had to come along at all, I wish that it happened when I was in my 20's. At least I'd have a few decades to recover.

(51,567 posts)would be longer than Gone With The Wind. I am thoroughly disgusted with half of this country. I am the opposite of you, I wish this happened after I died. People who are already dead are the lucky ones. I probably won't last long enough to see this wrapped up in a satisfactory conclusion. I wish I could fast forward 20 years to be honest. I am curious more than anything. I feel badly for younger Americans at this point. We have been raped by the party of hate, hypocrisy, crime, lies and greed. I feel like a rape victim. I feel sick.

I know where you are coming from, because I take solace in the fact that they are not here to see this.

(204,751 posts)And to water the fuchsia plant I have there. And I first started telling him "you wouldn't believe this" when Covid hit - and TFG - I cannot even imagine what he'd think, or my grandmother! But the one I think about the most is Paul, the closest I had to a grandfather. He passed away on Christmas Eve in 1998 at 101 and was a citizen of the world and very political. Bill Clinton was his president, I wish I could have told him that I got to see him in person when he came to my district to campaign in 2006. I can't imagine what he would think. He worked for peace and I used to think that 9/11 would have broken his heart, but what we're experiencing with TFG isn't much better.

(8,674 posts)Just won her district in a massive landslide. MTG is as Famous as Elvis. Not so sure being 20 something and having time to recover from it all is a good thing. Being old and dying before it gets as bad as it is gonna get may be better situation. Stooooopid is popular. They only understand 3 letter words, God and Guns. Their interpretation of both promote death and destruction. The planet they lead us to will fix it all. It will rid itself of the infestation of its parasite. Sooner than later. Just think. People like her have to be bowed to by the highest ranking and brightest military leaders on earth. And trump would be re-elected today even after yesterday.

So close to embracing diversity and plurality and PLURality for such a more powerful dynamic civilization.
It's coming.
The question is how many tragedies have to happen while reactionary forces fight losing rearguard actions, like the Perjurous Three on the Court. They thought birth slavery would save America. In time they will be reversed, like slavery was reversed after the Dred Scott decision.
In 1865, after the Union's victory, the Court's ruling in Dred Scott was superseded by the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which abolished slavery, and the Fourteenth Amendment, whose first section guaranteed citizenship for "all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof".
The Dred Scott decision failed monumentally. The point was driven home in 2008 when Obama won the Presidency.

(6,535 posts)and how nobody's really doing anything to mitigate it at this point
but yeah the fact that we collectively tolerated an incompetent, traitorous criminal occupying the White House for four years and overseeing the literal theft of the Supreme Court is also pretty fucked up in and of itself.
