Unless the family chooses to do so, the cause of death is not stated in public obituaries.

Some people consider that to be private information, but, more importantly, obituaries are not intended as forensic reports. They serve as kind of a final summary of the person's life, the lives touched by that person, and what the deceased was known for when alive.

Unfortunately, there are people who latch onto this ordinary social convention by making a "mystery" out of it, and applying a remarkable apparent assumption that coroners and medical examiners are corrupt or easily bought off or threatened as something of the ordinary course of business for them.

"Beloved husband of Janet (nee Oechsner) Loving father of Brian Stenger and Nicole Densmore and her husband Calvin. Cherished grandfather of Collin and Tristan Densmore. Dear brother of Kathy Anthony, her husband Jack and Ann Froede, her husband Glenn. Devoted Brother-In-Law to Thomas Oechsner and his wife Genice, Susan Oechsner and her late husband Timothy. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews."

...none of whom appear to calling for an investigation into his death. Yes, yes, I know, the entire family is threatened and afraid, because no one ever reports being threatened.

Thank goodness that total strangers on the internet have taken up the cause on their behalf.

Michael Stenger’s Death Fuels Conspiracy Theories

The cause of death of the former U.S. Senate sergeant at arms is unknown as of this writing, but that didn't stop the internet from inventing a cause.

A lot of things kill people and even some people who have been in the news eventually die.

WASHINGTON
Michael Stenger, who served as the U.S. Senate’s sergeant-at-arms and resigned after the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol, has died. He was 71.

Stenger died Monday of natural causes, according to two people familiar with the matter. One of the people said he had been diagnosed with cancer and had been ill. The people would not discuss details of his condition publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

News of Stenger’s passing on Tuesday fueled baseless conspiracy theories online, with some social media users calling his death “suspicious” and attempting to link it to the surprise Jan. 6 hearing announced just 24 hours earlier by the House committee investigating the Capitol insurrection. Stenger died of natural causes, and there is no evidence he was set to testify at that hearing. Cassidy Hutchinson, a Trump White House aide, testified before the committee

Anyone who can't be bothered with taking 30 seconds to use Google or find a news story is not helping. It just looks like intentional ignorance.

Bullshit conspiracy theories are bullshit, regardless of the source.

Unless it was suicide, even that might not indicate anything because there are reports of cancer.
However, an autopsy by independent agency might be nice considering what's happening in the USA.

Captain of Marines, 30 plus with the Secret Service, 10 Plus with the Senate Sergeant at Arms, then 1/6. His life will be remembered by 1 day. Give his family a break, let them grieve without the bullshit.
