I want someone from west of the Mississippi on the SC - and I'd prefer someone with judicial experience who did not go to Harvard or Yale. As long as they're not Opus Dei or other fanatical theists I'd be happy. Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist - there are a lot of unrepresented groups out there.
