In this case, there was indeed a plan and intent to overthrow the country. But like most things Trump, it was poorly executed.

Intent does not mean PLAN. Intent is a desire, intention, or determination to do something. Trump signaled his desire to remain in office CONSTANTLY.
Because he was ultimately incompetent and an idiot (like Ben), doesn't mean he did not have intent. It just means he was too stupid to actually pull it off.
