...Charlamagne claimed that Democrats have known what Republicans have been planning for decades, because Republicans have never hidden their agenda.
They have shown and told us what play they are going to run, said the host, and for some reason, Democrats never crafted a defense to stop them.
Yes, its easy to point the finger at Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell, continued Charlamagne, acknowledging that the Republican Party was able to appoint three justices to the Supreme Court.
But I feel like the cowardice and inaction from Democrats caused a lot of this, pressed Charlamagne.
The host specifically called out Former President Barack Obama for not codifying Roe like he said he would when he was on the campaign trail?...

You might want to rethink this one, Charlamagne

WTH is that? Normally pols will say immediately that they'll back their own president for re-election. Those kind of stances and hesitancy on backing the president only leads to divisiveness.

We barely have a majority in the House and effectively do not control the Senate.

It IS easy to point the finger at Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell because all evidence indicates that they and the republican party are to blame. Why do so many media personalities like beating up Democrats, when they are the only ones trying to save democracy and make the world a better place? And what have YOU done Charlamagne?

machinations around Roe during the Obama admin, as there were only 5 non-contiguous months that we had the 60 vote majority needed to codify Roe.
These guys need to do their research fefore spewing near-right wing talking points on their show.

(24,412 posts)that enough Democrats in the Senate would have voted for it because there were some Blue Dogs whom were anti-choice. We still have one or two now in the Senate.

(412 posts)Believe the Democrats for years 1) did not place too much emphasis on state level races in some states. This caused massive gerrymanding of congressional districts favoring the GOP in US Rep and State houses. At state level is why all these draconian laws are coming out. and 2) did not understand the importance of the judiciary in mid level federal courts and SCOTUS. Meanwhile the GOP did all these.
Just my opinion

(58,785 posts)The most constant anti-Democratic Left deceit of all, that underlies all their campaigns as a constant foundation, is that whatever Republicans do is always really the Democrats' fault. And here it is.
We could have stopped them -- but didn't. We should have stopped them -- but didn't. We should have done something else we could have -- but didn't. That's because we're really the same as them, of course, cowards and corrupt corporatists, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, no real difference. Etc, etc.
And the eternal (which Bernie used when running for president and asked what he would do about the problem of all the judgeships the Repubs packed with far-right racists since 2016): "Anyway, the Democrats do it too."

(68,576 posts)with Democrats...he gave Clinton numerous Donkey wards and said he voted for her...OK...how many folks did not vote for her because of the shit he said almost daily? I despise him and believe he belongs in the 'with friends like this who needs enemies category'. I have heartfelt progressive beliefs...but above all, I am a Democrat period. I vote Democratic in every election... I don't expect to have all my dreams fulfilled by any candidate, I don't need to fall in love, or be catered to. I am a yellow dog Democrat and have nothing but contempt for those who trash Democrats and the Democratic Party.
