Ron Johnson has the answer!!!

His new commercials let us know that poor people are the cause of inflation!

He keeps stating to cut wastful spending. Of course that means food stamps, housing allowance, heating assistance, child care assistance, etc.

You see, Ron and all repubs, believe that all of America's problems are because poor people have too much money.

This guy needs to be voted out!

Conservative ideology has not changed since the 1700's when it emerged as a political construct. The people attributed with the core of modern conservatism Burke and De Maistre conceptualized what became conservatism while they were writing defenses of the monarchical and aristocratic systems during the French Revolution.

The only thing that has changed regarding modern conservative thought, is that they do not directly support the idea of monarchy. They understood that blood line rule was being deposed so they made the indicator for "worthiness" to be wealth. As luck would have it, most of the advocates for Capitalism and Conservative ideology were pretty wealthy.

Conservatives believe in hierarchical structure to society. They believe that the wealthy deserve to be at the top and the poor deserve to be at the bottom, and that because they are deficient (they are not rich) they deserve whatever misery life brings. That is literally the justification that is touted (although with less overt language) as to why government should not "waste" money with social programs. They see any action by government, to "upset the natural order" as repugnant. Anything that puts the "undeserving" in a position in which they do not belong, is unnatural.

If the above is the basis of how you think society should be structured, then, "that old chestnut" is what you have. This is why Conservatives do not focus on winning elections with policies that appeal to people. They stoke fear and resentment, and they work to dilute the voting power of the average person so that they can continue to have out sized power with less popular support.

It must be the water. If it was in the air, it would have drifted down here to Illinois by now (gods forbid).

Or maybe they are drinking/smoking/sniffing something. Whatever it is, I sure hope it stays on that side of the state line. Better it should disappear altogether, but I'm not holding my breath on that score.

.... do their part.

Starting with the Scott Walker administration the repugs have used very F***ing voter suppression trick in the book.

They have gerrymandered the state.

They have implemented voter ID laws.

They have used intimidation at the polls.

They have eliminated polling places in predominately democratic (Black) strongholds.

They have stacked the state court systems.

They have "found" uncounted votes after the tallies were reported and the "found" ballots that were just enough to flip the results SURPRISE SURPRISE! With stacked courts, the lawsuits always went to the repugs.

RoJo would still be a nobody from Wisconsin if the repugs hadn't corrupted the fair election system in Wisconsin during the pre-Scott Walker corrupt administration.

In Moscow this weekend. We will pay for his annual flight there for the 4th. But after he leaves the plane, get the hell out and leave his ass. Putin can use him as a General. Their life expectancy is short, and he needs more Generals on the front. Send Flynn with him.

My point is that we've just got to stop staring at the trainwreck. Why? Because the constant staring drains attention and effort away from our own work needed in battlegrounds like WI.

Just pointing out a bit on perspective needed in this critical midterm year.

If you still take insult, you know what to do.

We can go back to when people can just wither and die when they get too old or sick to work.

Seniors have gone from being the poorest segment of the population to being one of the wealthiest. We could cut out all of that inflationary consumerism with a stroke of a pen and return to the good old days when those that don't work, don't eat.

Return the old and sick to being burdens on their loved ones, not burdens on society. Restore traditional family roles.

Conservatives are assholes.

on these people who, more than likely, through no fault of their own, are having a difficult time in their lives?

What then, is the role of government, if not to help those taxpayers (former and/or current taxpayers), among other things that all government does, such as make law to benefit the common good, ensure the health and safety of our population, help our elderly and/or other disadvantaged individuals, etc.? If you feel like that government has no role (as you seem to infer), you should resign immediately, as your job as a representative is not needed then.
