Will be really interesting to see where Desantis comes down on a complete abortion ban in Florida

the current Florida law only prevents abortion after 15 weeks, and the vast majority of abortions take place before then. Polls show Floridians are strongly pro-choice, so it may be political suicide for Desantis to go for a complete ban:

the dumbasses in the Florida legislature will give it to him. Then, he vetoes the most radical parts of the legislation. Vetoing the most radical parts makes him appear "more reasonable."

It makes him look like he's less insane than the Republicans in the legislature. Then, they'll sit there looking all sad with droopy faces after he vetoes the worst parts.

I’d guess he’ll go full ban and double down on any pushback. I’ve been wrong before though, and in this case, hope to be wrong again.

It will take some wrangling to keep even the 15-week ban.

He will happily sign a full ban on all abortions.

If he does so, in the face of the poll numbers I linked, with an election coming, then he's a pretty dumb politician. Florida isn't Texas or Mississippi.
