I got a call earlier today from one of those scammers I

know when it is because it shows some off the wall town on my caller Id, I always answer those calls like this,
"Seargent Johnson speaking" and they always sit quietly for a few seconds and hangup and then I call the number back and usually its a busy signal or this is not a working number but I just called this one back and a guy answered and said Police officers support pact how are you today..I hung up.

I disabled phone calls for people not on my Contacts.

Scammers almost NEVER leave a VM, and the only one I recall was one in Chinese, having a 510 (Oakland/East Bay) code.

7. Dred when you turn 65. I turn 65 in August, and I am getting 2-3 Medicare scam calls daily

They fill up my answering machine. Grrrr.

8. What I do.

Pick up and say nothing for a long 5 seconds. Then in my monotone, mechanical voice and say hello. Most hang up, others ask by my name if it’s me. If they know my name, I apologize.

10. you know, for the past week or so

I've been inundated with scam calls.

All of a sudden they started and I finally turned the sound off my phone.

When the numbers come up I don't recognize, I google them and google id's them as a scam alert.

Sometimes I get recordings. So I ask them why they are threatening the President. Hoping that it gets back to DOJ.

13. I'm bored so I answer all calls.

I see how long I can keep them on the phone. I usually end the call by telling them to send all information by mail so I can turn it over to my fiduciary, which I don't have. I have never received any mail from them. As long as they are talking with me, they can't be bothering anyone else.

14. I ignore every call that is not on my contact list

If it's a legitimate call, they will leave a message. The only ones who do are the ones in Chinese and the robot who wants me to renew the coverage on my car. My car is a 2009 Hyundai.

I don't swipe left. I don't answer and hang up. I don't answer just to keep them on the line. I don't want anyone to get the idea that they found a live number.

I've given up on googling the numbers. More and more, the numbers don't show up as anything.
