What do we know/think about Pat Cipollone?

given that he was a Trumper but it appears he pushed back in the last week or weeks.

I don't know that much about him except I thought McGahn was more ethical.

If he blows off the subpoena he's a pig. I don't blame him for waiting for a subpoena to testify. No lawyer wants to testify against his client at all but especially not voluntarily.

So what say you? Worst of the worst? You have to admit he has a pretty sounding name but he grew up in a blue collar household (his dad was a first generation immigrant) and ended up a republican? Something's wrong.

How many more hearings? I'm thinking we're now up to 4 more.

I heard on Lawrence O’Donnell’s show that Cippollone was a huge Rush Limbaugh fan and called himself a ditto head. However, for self preservation, he *might* tell the truth.

From about the seven minute mark -

he's in the Federalist society
he's a hardcord Catholic with 10 kids
he's a ditto head

I don't think he'll blow off the subpoena but I think he'll play games around executive privilege and lying by omission if he isn't directly asked about things. He seems to have a healthier sense of self-preservation than the others but he's had years to blow the whistle and hasn't and he defended Trump's actions during the first impeachment hearing about the call to Ukraine.

He’s a smart guy. He’s not going to perjure himself for Chumpie. At the same time, I don’t think he wants to just offer up info. Might affect his standing in conservative circles.
He may try to drag this out as long as possible
He’s good friends work Laura Ingram. She credits him for her conversion to Catholicism. She said the Cippolone’s home was her 2nd home when she had cancer.

Breading ground for repubs of note.
Barr
Eastman
jeff Clark (yes that one )
Bolton
Kav (I lie beer)
Jeff Rosen
Ken Starr
Etc
It's like a inbreading ground for overtly RW conservatives makes these people a ton of money they evolve into a government job and they leave and start a new firm or float to another firm and start kicking money back to that firm from all the government contacts and inside knowledge.

Somebody who worked with Cip in Judge Boggs office said he and some other RW, listened to Limbaugh and called themselves dittoheads, sounds about right to me. This guy only has the courage to keep himself out of jail.
