🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: The two messages the Jan. 6 committee shared with the public as efforts to influence witnesses were actually both to Cassidy Hutchinson. Hutchinson told the committee one of them was delivered by an intermediary for Mark Meadows the night before a Committee depo.

(34,444 posts)If Meadows didnt make or direct those or other messages, his lawyer would just say that he made no contact with Hutchinson during that time period.

Highlighted by me.
[A person] Meadows let me know you have your deposition tomorrow, read a slide that the Jan. 6 committee broadcast at the end of Hutchinsons hearing, which Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) characterized as pressure on a key witness. He wants me to let you know that hes thinking about you. He knows youre loyal, and youre going to do the right thing when you go in for your deposition.

If it is proven to be accurate and to have come from a particular source, this is witness tampering and can't be ignored.

(7,187 posts)"The exact identity of the person who sent Hutchinson the message beyond the fact that they were an associate of Meadows could not be confirmed on Thursday, but that may be in part because the select committee may wish to interview that person, the sources said.
That appears to indicate that the person who sent the message was a close associate of the former White House chief of staff who may themselves be a fact witness to what Trump and Meadows were doing and thinking ahead of the Capitol attack."
