1. I think about this and it could be done...

The repukes all vote every election. They are more gerrymandered, they pass voting restriction laws, and they have the media to help them out. But that's it. They are stretched as thin as they can get. They don't have a supply of apathetic, both sides are the same, protest voting, or unregistered voting well to draw from. We should be winning every election mathematically.

Demographically, economically.. so many factors. Major difference - communication, specifically "social media" that I have maintained will eventually will bring down civilization.

7. Many may disagree, but our candidate was so weak that it did not take much

and we keep doing it over and over.

The one who won the gubernatorial primary in Florida was from the left wing of the party and lost to DeSantis. Otherwise we could have won.

Ironically, this is how the Republicans in California lost all state offices in the 90s (when we lived there). The ones who won the primaries and lost in the general were the ones who "stood on principle" - anti gay, anti choice, anti immigration.

And, at least on these pages, many choose to ignore that we took the House in 2018 with moderates and we lost many seats in 2020 with "socialist" messages, carried by Sanders - who is not even a Democrat - and Warren and "the Squad."

And we still are sending the message. The all encompassing BBB would pass under FDR with his majority but not with the current slim one. Many still regret that the Infrastructure bill passed alone and not being held hostage to the BBB. At least we have the Infrastructure bill to show accomplishment. And it is getting worse. Activists in both parties retreat to tribalism with no chances of compromise.

We hear about all the blocks to register and to vote. Well where are the Freedom Riders of 2022 traveling the country making sure that many can vote?

Marching, protesting and scrolling the Smartphones are satisfying, but do not bring actions.

OK, will get down from my soapbox.

All we need to do to make it happen is to purchase several million tons of wooden planks and nails to barricade every reTHug voter inside their houses on election day (Even then, I think we'd still lose West Virginia).

Barring that, the only way anyone will ever witness a repeat of the 1932 election again will be after time travel is invented.
