It is all of our governing institutions under assault.. First it was McConnell breaking the senate and then it was Trump breaking the presidency and finally it was the destruction of the judiciary from the lower courts to the Supreme court.

The south has never wanted to be part of America or they want America on their own terms. Slavery, Jim Crow is their view of a functioning country.

We are close to the Articles of confederation as a governing philosophy where the states are more powerful than the central government.
