Remember Key & Peele's Obama's Anger Translator sketches?

We know we need a unified message blasting TV, social media, and all other forms of media. A message that is NOT seemingly measured, "respecting" the opponents as has always been done when it was politics as usual. I don't mean a dangerously absurd approach of Trump and MAGA, but a rational yet hair-on-fire campaign hammering the point that SHIT IS REAL RIGHT NOW and those dismantling our rights, our democracy and are lives MUST BE DEFEATED IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS. There is no hypothetical disaster in the future.

It is NOW.

Obama's team had a good approach using highly visible celebrities and social media to get out the vote. The Biden Administration really needs to replicate that somehow.

I loved the Key and Peele "Obama Anger Translator" which I just call angry Obama sketches. Something like that could engage the younger (hell, and we older) people. While we older people may understand the reason for a "measured" approach, we also want to know that those in positions of power are alarmed AF and realize they cannot play fair or "nice" with the unethical and often criminal opposition.

I'd love to see a campaign with sketches like the Angry Obama sketches. Have Olivia Rodrigo and others tapped into the youth vote be "angry Biden" and Biden is there, putting his stamp on the message even if he can't or won't be so angry publicly.

Do it with other Dem politicians too. It would be like a "Got Milk?" campaign, featuring a lot of different people.

That's a pretty good idea, if I say so myself.

2. Democrats have mountains of "Truth" to point to and

rely on to get through the day.

However, much of that truth is buried in details.

And, “people” (small P denotes other than Democrats), don’t have time or otherwise won’t do any diligence in verifying news.

So, the “Truth” becomes whatever is pushed in media. The simpler the message, the easier to promulgate for effect.

Republicans have perfected the disinformation and propaganda operations. They spend big bucks on it, and expect to receive big returns.

Democrats rely on a few friendly outlets to speak to righteous truth. Democrats have Platforms, Statements, scholarly writings, empathetic speakers, and righteousness ‘til the cows come home.

Republicans work the masses with daily doses of fear and revenge, our way or highway, with lots of God is on our side.

There is a successful way forward. It is getting away from “help us help you because we are so honest” to “Help us, or your lives will be ruined by Republicans.”
