Rethugs remind me of an old boyfriend of my sister who used to say rules are for other people

They love to have rules who limit “others”. It makes it easier for them to break the rules. In his case he used to ignore Stay Out or Closed so he could camp in places that were restricted. Most people obeyed the rules so there wasn’t generally much active enforcement.

I think that sums it up very well.
