because that feeds into the RW meme that it's "not in the constitution." Technically "true" but irrelevant to me. I know that the 9th Amendment allows that there are other rights that are not specifically noted in the the text and that these also deserve protection. But I've seen some RWers go all "originalist" and say that "if it isn't in the Constitution, it isn't a right." They're using that with all the LBGTQIA issues, too.
I think I'm going to start going with a "natural" right, or maybe just a "human" right. After all, women's rights are human rights.

(3,077 posts)I am sick and tired of the talk about the right to choose what we do with our own lives and bodies. Some guys talk about when did we come to the point of the right to choose and then they insert kill babies blah blah blah. I get so angry about being told that my body is not my own and I don't get to decide what happens to it. The right to choose is very important and very personal to me. I had to make the decision at 13 due to a pregnancy against my will. I will continue to fight for the others right to make their decisions. But seriously I hate that chauvinistic bs. I will not be guilted, shamed or silenced. Also the Constitution needs to evolve because the world is different than when it was written. Ok rant over, that is all. Thank you
