7. I love this series but had to stop watching

I love this series and watched the first three seasons, but as the political situation has gotten worse in the US I couldn't bring myself to watch season 4. Just hits too close to home.

11. I'd follow up the rewatch with Atwood's two books

The Handmaid's Tale and her sequel, The Testaments. In fact, I highly recommend the latter bc as harrowing as the original text is The Testaments offers up Margaret Atwood's view of where a Gilead winds up, both for the characters and the history books.

I found the sequel a very satisfying end note on what I originally thought was a 'far out' speculative novel. That was before I realized how prescient Atwood had been in the original on the political and ideological trends she was observing and contemplating.

Check it out. Both novels are good, riveting reads.

I'm a big Atwood fan.
