The American Legislative Exchange Council has been a danger to our democracy for many years, but with the RW SCOTUS majority, they're more of a threat than ever.

I'm posting this as a response to a question in another thread about what role ALEC is playing in this assault on Americans' rights.

This article from last September explains how ALEC is still involved in suppressing voter rights, but has outsourced its model bills to a dark money group:

Where’s ours? Where’s the Democratic equivalent? Do WE have an organization like that? And it quickly deteriorated to “why DON’T we have one of those? Shouldn’t WE have organizations like that, too?

It always bothered me. REALLY and SERIOUSLY bothers me now!
