Holy Shit - my oldest nephew and his wife were in that Copenhagen mall

when the shooting started - they and others escaped through an exit door and ran to someone’s apartment.

A shooting at a mall in Copenhagen has left several people dead, local police said Sunday.

One person has been arrested, Copenhagen Head of Police Soren Thomassen told reporters at a news conference. He described the suspect as a 22-year-old ethnic Danish man.
The shooting unfolded on Sunday at multiple locations inside Field's, a shopping center in the Danish capital, he also said.

They might feel weirded out [expressed mentally, emotionally, physically] for a while which Is Normal for traumatic events. "It's OK Not to Feel Ok" as the saying goes - which what we in NYC and surrounding areas learned post 9-11.

Listening to the shots on the video, it sounded to me like they were single shots, not the multiple rapid fire shots of massacres in the US. Bad as this was, it could have been even worse.

Traumatic for everyone there, even those who escaped.

Any word on the ones who were shot?

Eyewitness Joachim Olsen, a former Danish politician and athlete, told CNN that he was on his way to a gym inside Field's when he saw large groups of people exiting the mall.

"It looked like something, I'm sorry to say, like something you would see from a school shooting in the US, people coming out with their hands above their heads," Olsen said.

Frankly, hard to imagine someone opening fire anywhere in Denmark for that matter. Obviously it is possible since this happened, but I honestly felt the safest I have ever felt in my entire life when I was in Denmark.

I'm so glad your nephew and his wife got to safety.
