And sure, not all of them are white, but the vast majority is, and they are overwhelmingly young and male. They are coming of age in a world where their "place" is no longer assured, no longer defined. They likely grew up with messages that it's a man's world, specifically a white man's world. They become adults and they see that isn't the case anymore. Add teenage rage to the easy availability of high powered weapons and they lash out and kill. The whole world is their target because they're fuckng pissed off at a changing world that they can't control. So if they can't control it, they'll kill it.
