Dear Mitt Romney

Ahem...Go fuck yourself sideways with a First Edition, Hard Cover copy of Atlas Shrugged, you worthless piece of amphibian shit.

My "apologies" if that "feeds into the sickness of denial, deceit and distrust", but seriously, fuck you and the "both sides" horse you rode in on.

Where Mitt? Where was that "concern" while your party was ramming trickle-down economics down the throat of the middle class?

Was it "deceit", or "denial" that enabled you to ram through 3 Wingnut, Reactionary Confederate Supreme Court Justices? One stolen from the duly elected President of the United States, and another "rammed" through eight days before the presidential elections. I believe you voted to confirm both.

Some would say; "actions like that could result in DISTRUST".

Sorry Mitt, but folks being unhappy with the scraps that fall from the Koch brothers table are not "talking past you". We're fucking pissed.

You know what truly makes folks like me hate the everloving fuck out of people like you? It's that you think I'm fucking stupid.

You have gotten everything you've wanted.

- A POS reactionary Wingnut Supreme Court that will do whatever the fuck the Federalist Society tells them to do.

- A POS reactionary Wingnut Supreme Court that will even nullify elections as needed so your party never need worry about losing another election.

- Gutting of privacy rights and environmental rights.

- Tax cuts for the wealthy as far as the eye can see.

And now, after you've run over your opponents, you dare to "stretch out the hand of togetherness"?

At least Susan Collins "deceit" and "denial" is presented with a cover of ignorance. Seriously, you can honestly think that Suze isn't deceitful...she's just very fucking stupid. Have you met her?

Unlike Suzy, you try to wrap your deceit in moral pompossity. It just doesn't work. It takes years of practice to make deceit look like ignorance, and Suzy is a master.

You "long for a president who can rise above the din to unite us behind the truth"?? Let me guess, Ron DeSantis?

I long for a Senator from Utah that isn't a sniveling coward.

I am sure that if we take advice from the likes of you, neither of us will get what we long for

So, with all due respect, Fuck You!

Max

So says the man who made he is money doing leveraged buy outs of companies after which
he fired the workers, looted the retirement funds, cut the people's health care, loaded the company
up with debt by borrowing against the company's physical property, and then said the company had
too much debt and then shut the companies down. Vulture capitalism thy name is Mitt

Mitt and his friends showing off the money they made fucking working people.

When entire countries fail to confront serious challenges, it doesn't end well. During the past half century, we Americans have lived in a very forgiving time, and seeing the world through rose-colored glasses had limited consequences. The climate was stable, our economy dwarfed the competition, democracy was on the rise, and our military strength made the U.S. the sole global hyperpower. Today, every one of those things has changed. If we continue to ignore the real threats we face, America will inevitably suffer serious consequences.

What clears the scales from the eyes of a nation? Pearl Harbor did. 9/11 did. A crisis can shake the public consciousness. But a crisis may come too late for a course correction that can prevent tragedy. The only cure for wishful thinking is leadership. Winston Churchill emboldened a complacent Britain and rallied the world. Abraham Lincoln held the Union together. Ronald Reagan shook us from our malaise. Lech Wałęsa inaugurated a movement that brought down the Iron Curtain. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired us to “believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality.” And Volodymyr Zelensky’s stunning display of courage—“I need ammunition, not a ride”—showed us what real character looks like.

President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust. A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable. Congress is particularly disappointing: Our elected officials put a finger in the wind more frequently than they show backbone against it. Too often, Washington demonstrates the maxim that for evil to thrive only requires good men to do nothing.

I hope for a president who can rise above the din to unite us behind the truth. Several contenders with experience and smarts stand in the wings; we intently watch to see if they also possess the requisite character and ability to bring the nation together in confronting our common reality. While we wait, leadership must come from fathers and mothers, teachers and nurses, priests and rabbis, businessmen and businesswomen, journalists and pundits. That will require us all to rise above ourselves—above our grievances and resentments—and grasp the mantle of leadership our country so badly needs.

Title of President of the United States. Yes, those long time corporations he looted were just things to him to play with, knock down, reassemble, not people. They were there for him to take the money and run even if he didn't need it. But the presidency - that's power to him. Being a Senator he's still a guy who lost his bid to be President. He's pretended to be gracious, but I don't think he would have gone to the Senate if that longing for power wasn't there.

You see, Mitt is still hoping he can run for the highest office again some day.

But that would never happen if he manages to piss off Chump and the crazy minions. So he's just keeping his head down, and letting the DEMs do all the work of putting his traitor-Party members in jail. Then after we do all the heavy lifting, he gets a clear path to the White House in the next election. (... or so he hopes.)

That's it, of course: he is still hanging on to the hope of launching another run for the White House, and winning next time. I think on some level, there's a part of him that wants to do the right thing. If not, he wouldn't have voted to convict in both of Trump's impeachment trials. But he can't bring himself to put the desire to do what's right ahead of his lust for power.

I have a hard time relating to that myself. He's 75 years old, 7and he has a cushy job in the Senate for now and plenty of money to live in luxury for the rest of his life regardless of how long he holds on to that job. What more could he need? (Rhetorical question, of course.)

But what do I know. I can't really imagine wanting to be potus, much less being willing to jump through all of the hoops it takes to get there.

take to help ensure that Donald J Trump never again assumes the Oval Office.

And most especially whatever influence you can bring to bear in the critical swing states of Arizona and Nevada.

The future of the Republic is a stake.
