When are we as a nation going to recognize the Trump/Republican voters are the real problem?

They are complete fucking idiots who constantly vote against their own best interests. They never hold the people they vote for accountable. They elect the worst among us to congress and the Whitehouse. They elect people who are completely unqualified, people who are corrupt, people with fascist views.

They swallow propaganda like pigs at a trough. They are delusional, they could not figure out the election was not stolen. Something any 10 year could figure out.

They support things that destroy things they care about, then blame the Democrats.

The Trump/Republican voters are the number one problem, number one threat in America.

1. That's one half of the problem

The 20 - 30% who are incurably cray-cray is one half of the problem. the other is the rest of us, stuck so deep into normalcy bias that we haven't figured out that it is time to recognize and act in accordance with the civil war which is already upon us.

4. The media, in the aggregate, is the problem.

Certainly plenty of the trumpies are incorrigible bigots/sexists; but many are merely easily led.

Imagine we had a reasonable media that dismissed Donnie as a liar, unfit for office, lunatic fringe, etc.

Imagine we had a media that compared issues and candidates reasonably and constantly noted that most Americans side with progressives on most issues.

Imagine if the media characterized attacks on Americans based on bigotry as... attacks on *Americans*


Right wingers aren't the only people who can win these people over. Yes, plenty of them are hopeless. But sone of them can be led to a more reasonable position.


But not while the media constantly feeds them right wing talking points and treats all those lies and divisiveness and attacks on America and democracy as at least equally legitimate as more reasonable points of view.
