In 1824, Adams beat Jackson. Jackson spent the next four years screaming the election was stolen

And states changed their voting laws to a more favorable position for Jackson.

In 1828, Adams and Jackson squared off again and it was considered one of the dirtiest, most destructive campaigns in American history, where both men tried to literally destroy each other.

Jackson won with the new voting laws.

Fast forward to 2020. Agent Orange lost and has done the same things Jackson did. States did the same thing after 2020 they did after 1824. . .

Agent Orange and Jackson are two sides of the same coin.

What a disgrace he was.

Populism is toxic. And always has been.

electoral votes. He lost in the House where every state gets one vote. There were 4 sets of candidates.
Trump lost the popular vote and the electoral vote. He wanted to pretend no one won and send it to the House where Republicans would have won. Adams lost to Jackson in 1828 because there were only 2 sets of candidates.
I'm not a Jackson fan, but he was nothing like Trump.

Adams beat Jackson in the contingent election in the house of representatives the next year, since no candidate got a majority of electoral votes. And the changes in voting laws between 1824 and the 1828 election were to expand the franchise, not to restrict it, like republicans are working diligently to do. So the results from 1828--given that Jackson one the popular vote by far in 1824 and there were even more voters in 1828--was pretty unsurprising.

the republican nomination this time. The J6 Committee revelations are continuing to come out and are having a sobering effect on millions of voters.

Please, oh please let trump run again and created division within the republican party, as he did in Georgia in 2020.

He outperformed Adams 30.9% to 41.4%, and the EC 84 to 99. Many more people voted for him.
