Since some seem programmed to assume the worst motivation, let me begin by saying

that of course we are all entitled to be less than thrilled with everything that our president says or does, BUT---he should not be anyone's "pinata"---
not ours, not the blogs, not the cable news commentators.

On some TV programs, Joe is blamed for everything from the price of gasoline to dandruff.

OUR president is a good man whose performance is being assessed without acknowledging Putin, worldwide inflation, climate change acceleration, the covid pandemic and a hostile and violent cadre of insurrectionists who continue to attack our democracy.

Could we start letting a few talking heads hear about this?

It would be exponentially worse if the GrOPpers were still ‘running’ the country. As, they are the only alternative. We’ve got it pretty good.

The country or heaven handedly “Ruling” the country.
Ruling referring to GQP management style.

I think your “Ruling” hits closer to the mark. Because, at least it’s what they thought they were doing, if extremely poorly.

Their playbook (Tucker extracts from Hungary’s Constitution) is all about “Ruling the country” and zero to do with running a government “for the people”. This is not the country I served or most of us that died, come back crippled, and mentally tortured. I rage at these GQP criminals and their ignorant cult, happy to be Ruled. (Until they wake when all they have is gone, and no voting to get rid of the evil they bow to. Too late)

That's because, in public discourse, "bothsiderism" only goes one way. Good faith arguments complaining about Democrats' screw-ups would acknowledge the wholesale destruction by the Republicans, and that cannot be allowed. The "progressive media" cannot rest until it has fine-tuned Democrats into extinction. The remainder just prods them along, occasionally throwing in some highly acclaimed platitude.

it annoys me that every time TFG didn't blatantly soil himself or was able to get a semi-coherent sentence out they gushed over how great he did.

Biden is an adult and acts like one and they act as if every problem on the planet is 100% due to him, personally.

We can disagree with policy decisions of our President, and still believe he is the best man for the job. Joe Biden is a kind decent man with a wealth of experience in public service and intelligence He is not a messiah, but who really is? But he's the man I want making the important decisions, he will use the best available info from smart people to arrive at it.

They have a current article “As some Democrats grow impatient with Biden, alternative voices emerge.” The gist of the article is that Biden is too set in his ways, too willing to cede the field to Republicans for the sake of bipartisanship, not progressive enough, and not doing enough to protect democracy. That isn’t the first such article they have published.

Meanwhile, WaPo has started publishing opinion pieces from every right-wing conspiracy theorist they can find.

To your point, he is a good man, and he is fighting the good fight. Honestly, Atticus, I never, ever would have guessed this republic could fall so far so fast. The hate these dominionist 'christian nationalists' must have for common decency, let alone democracy, is just poisonous. It's hard to even get your head around.

I mean, look at Clarence Thomas, who is so filled with hate toward 'libruls' who have made his life miserable for 43 years, that he is willing to pull down this republic and replace it with something akin to Nazi Germany. Bannon, Trump, Eastman, Cruz, Hawley, and all the rest.

Today is especially heavy, weighing on me. Sometimes it feels too heavy to bear. In fact, I have been thinking of changing my signature message to something like 'the entire world GROANS under the weight of the greed of a few.'

Because that is what this IS. It is always about money - about how the billionaire parasites scheme to steal just a little bit more.

We are not going to let the MAGA repubs drag us back to the 1950s without a fight. I'm tired of the negative folks on left leaning sites. Focus on the Midterms and getting the Dems more votes. That is the only way to stop the MAGA repubs.

And the FTIG and the Republicans in the House and Senate do not get enough credit for the mess that was left for Biden. . Nor does the FTIG get enough credit for Putin's belligerence toward the west now.

To start writing, emailing, posting on social media just what in the hell MSM is attempting to do to our
Democracy by running Biden & Liberals down. They have first hand knowledge FailedCoupGuy & Rs
attempted to overthrow our government. You know the MAGA movement leans toward Fascism.

Why in the hell does it feel like you're on Rs side to install a Fascist government in the United States?
You are aware the first thing Fascists go after when in power is journalists and news media to silence
them? Why do you want to cut your own throat?

The upcoming midterms will determine if "trumpism" gets a larger foothold in our government. You want to
see angry MAGAstanians protesting outside your offices yelling "FAKE NEWS" and kill the messenger?
Who in the past has called you Fake News? You trust them?

The current R party has to die for Democracy to survive just like well known Rs like Bill Kristol, The Lincoln
Project and others have said. Are you listening?

If you refuse to help Liberals for a change, I hope you enjoy being told what you can and can't write
or say.

I could probably write a book on this subject but I'll stop here, you get the idea.....
WE NEED MSM TO STOP THEY'RE BOTH-SIDESISMS and paint Biden as a good President who needs more
Ds in Congress to stop Fascists from taking over.

which was:

You just whipped along with the list of obstacles the President faces. But I missed one that you perhaps forgot to include: "And a uniformly hostile press." I just want to note that it's not just the right wing infotainers who Blame Biden, but NPR, NYT, and WaPo too. He cannot catch a break. The MSM either blame Biden, or the entire Democratic Party, totally ignoring the ongoing sedition of TFG. Or rather, the press doesn't ignore it, it gives us a running stream of reportage totally devoid of context, accidentally leaving the impression that he's still important for some reason. TFG will be the first ex-president to be convicted of one or more felonies committed while in office, but this is historically unimportant.
