The fact that many supposedly "responsible" "serious" commentators are discussing "WHETHER"

Trump will be indicted and prosecuted for his OBVIOUS traitorous crimes just may be the most embarrassing national travesty I have witnessed in my three score and ten plus years.

Instead of asking, what other choices does the DOJ have, but to prosecute?

That is why I hope the J6 Committee continues the investigation for as long as they have witnesses willing to talk.

to find impartial jury to serve on the case" disgusting while ignoring the facts that TFG did all those criminal acts. If he did those acts, report it as such and he deserves to be indicted and go on trial.

I'm sure most of them get their talking points from their bosses/owners. Most of our television media aka shit shows aren't really concerned with facts, but what will sell the most advertising space for the most amount of money.

The idea that leaders of an insurrection ought not face justice in a court of law is ludicrous.

That it is pretended leading an insurrection may not quite contravene any existing law is contemptible.

In a well-functioning state, Trump and company would have been in irons by afternoon on the twentieth of January, if not on the seventh.

I think that may be why the Republicans kept putting off the approval of Merrick Garland's nomination until about March?

guns/NRA/shootings, and recent SCOTUS decisions. Frankly, the Repug projectionism extends even to tfg's infamous statement about "shithole countries"; they as a whole excelled with that particular one.

Each time radical Republicans gained control, the FCC (and others) became tools for the very corporations they were created to oversee. Every merger presented to them was rubber stamped.
We have a nearly homogenous media instead of competitive media as a result.

They will never stop chasing the next shiny thing at the expense of the truth.

Like it or not, media creates news just by simply focusing on something, whether or not it's true. So a lot of people worry that he'll never be indicted. If these people followed the facts, they'd see there's no way he won't be - there is no question regarding his criminal culpability. Maybe there's a small chance he theoretically won't be indicted for political reasons, but that tiny chance is disappearing with each J6 hearing. But the media will present it as a 50/50 crisis thing.

More and more I can't watch the news. It's mostly sensationalist garbage. They helped create the mess we're in now by treating his candidacy as the next fun thing from the start rather than focus on how unbelievably unqualified and dangerous he is. But oh what will he say next! Can you believe what he just said?

They created the monster that's devouring democracy. If they would have reported things honestly, the public would have seen the truth. And by treating it so cavalierly, people think it's all a game and they take sides rather than looking at the big picture.

We need Eric Boehlert. Sigh.
